The Thermostud® is a patented pedestrian crossing marking system. It is an in-situ road stud that has a service life equal to the road surface itself. The installation of the Thermostud® is achieved by diamond coring a 100 mm diameter hole into the wearing course. The material within the cored hole is then removed leaving a rough surface at the base of the pocket. White thermoplastic material is then poured into that pocket until the material is level with the road surface. The result is a maintenance free marking system.
